Welcome to a virtual sightseeing tour through my 8051 lab.
Doing electronics just for fun? (I mean, you do not spend thousands of euros on it.) But want to have quick results? Well, here I present how I do it.
(Your will get to the next step by a link at the bottom of each page.)
In the centre is the RAM and ROM Emulator for
8051 (image map):

All ports of the Infineon SAB-C515-LN , except of port P0 and P2 which are used for the memory interface, are accessible through the 10 pin connectors. They provide not only signals of the ports but also +5 volts and ground.
No resources of the target MCU are used for emulation except of P0 and P2 for external memory. Through the other 8051 MCU I have access to RAM and ROM of target MCU via RS232. The MAX690 and a Gold-Cap make sure that the ROM and RAM contents remains valid during power off.
If the green LED is on, the slave MCU C515 is enabled. Through the large number of ports of the C515 it is possible to develop programs for the AT89-family by changing simply the port addresses.
