Front view of the direct digital synthesis frequency generator. This device can not only controlled via six buttons and a encoder, but also via RS232. (enlarged picture includes image map) Here you can have a look into the case of my frequency generator. The MCU PCB is mounted at the back of the LCD. On the main PCB the signal flows from right to left so that the analog signal is separated from the digital signals. The power supplies are located direct behind the corresponding circuits. This is the front view of the FGSimple. It has less buttons then FG because the amplitude and the offset are user adjustable. Inside the case of my FGSimple are two PCB. On the main PCB a 32 bit adder with latches and a serial input can be seen, while the MCU is mounted on the front of the case on the back of the LCD. This frequency generator version has only a 5 volt TTL output.
